Graduating senior Ryan Bird presents his honor thesis project Attuning to Climate Change: Music and Political Action to the Geo-Humanities community. Focusing on two experimental electronica musicians--Mat Dryhurst from Germany, and FIS from New Zealand--Bird weaves together his own interviews of the artists with sonic clips and sound effects into two podcast episodes. Along the way he addresses what geographer George Revill calls the "processes and practices by which sound actually makes space," and shows how music can become a spatial intervention in both the material and discursive spheres of global climate change.
